When the team over at Hot Death Theatre asked us to review the show, I became genuinely excited as I read the description.
As a rabidly obsessive Magnus Archives fan, (and if you haven’t listened to that podcast, you’re in for a treat!) the idea of an Eldritch Horror Workplace Comedy is basically tailor made to lure me towards any sort of media, and if I’m honest, into having an extremely skewed view of what working in an office would be like.

Convincing my friend to come with me was easy. I waited until we were already on the bus to Glasgow to tell her about the audience participation. I’m sure she’ll forgive me… eventually.
I’m telling you now, in the interest of full disclosure, and because I want you to be ready and willing when you go to the show.
Without giving too much away, POWERsuit is a two-man show that will have you in stitches. Through a careful mixture of pre-recorded video, live theatre, mime and rap, the audience is brought on a journey into the horrifying and sometimes hilarious world of investment capitalism.

The show is fast-paced, continuously upping the ante, leaving breadcrumbs for the discerning watcher to sleuth their way into the twist ending. The mortifying ordeal of audience participation is well worth giving this show a go.
Personally, I will be looking out to see what they do next with bated breath.
Following the advice of salesman Seb, why don’t you ‘Fuck the cake while the ovens still hot’ and buy tickets for the next showing of POWERsuit. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
You can find more about the show and keep up with the crew on the Hot Death Theatre Instagram.
