There’s something special about the final night of a tour – that mix of exhaustion, emotion, and electricity that can’t quite be replicated. For Mouth Culture’s biggest headline run to date, their Glasgow stop at G2 was the ultimate send-off, a night packed with singalongs, heartfelt moments, and just the right amount of chaos.
Kicking off the night were Heart Sauce from Leicester, an act that immediately set the tone with their punchy, high-octane sound. There’s a definite Turnstile-esque energy about them: crunchy riffs, hard-hitting drums, and a sort of infectious beat.
Next up were Beauty School, and honestly, what a breath of fresh air these guys were. From the get-go, their banter had the crowd hyped, especially when the front-man confessed he’d left his trainers in the van and was rocking Crocs on stage (“They’re comfy though!” he laughed).

The band announced they’d just released a new album, and it was great hearing some of those new tracks live. Their energy was contagious – the perfect warm up for the band we were all waiting for.
Then came the main event. The lights dimmed, and a rumbling, bass-heavy remix of the Jaws theme began to play, blended brilliantly with the “shark bait!” chant from Finding Nemo. The crowd instantly knew what was coming: Mouth Culture opened with a bang, their explosive anthem, Shark Bait.
“Thank you, thank you Glasgow! How we doing?” Jack Voss, lead vocalist, shouted as they tore into Dead in Love, keeping that momentum alive.
“Glasgow, you’ve got a lot to live up to!” he teased before launching into Little Wednesday.

The band then tested the waters with a newer track, Picking Wings Off a Butterfly. The crowd seemed a little subdued so far, and I don’t know if it was a Monday night vibe, or if a lot of new fans were just in sheer astonishment catching the next big band live.
To continue to pull the crowd back in, he announced, “We’re gonna play an old one and I don’t even think we played it last time we were here. This is a debut for you lot.” Cue Paradise, a stunning performance that bled with emotion and connection.
Things got beautifully atmospheric during 15 Missed Calls. as fans lit up the room with their phone torches, taking from previous fans during last year’s tour where this moment was replicated. Just as the night threatened to mellow out, Don’t Pull Up reignited the fire.
“Are you ready?” the singer shouted. “This whole tour they’ve been moving quite a bit – now’s your time to shine!” And shine Glasgow did.
The set powered into Regret 101 getting the room bouncing! Somewhere in the chaos, two fans wearing animal mascot heads appeared – bizarre, hilarious, and very Mouth Culture I feel.
The newer single On and On followed, and it hit hard. For me, personally, there’s something distinctly Linkin Park-like about its blend of melody, grit, and those raw, edgy vocals.
When the Glasgow crowd broke into a spontaneous “Here we f***ing go!” chant, the band were buzzing. They kept the momentum going with Johnny Cold Shoulder, its softer first chorus letting the crowd sing loud and proud before it builds further with the stunning instruments and those harmonies kicking in beautifully.
These Days, a song about friendship, saw the sweet moment Jack shouted out to his lads, “the boys at the back,” a touching moment of appreciation for his bandmates.
Before Everyday, they took a pause. “I just wanna say thank you so much, Glasgow. We wrote a song about this – about the dream of being here, meeting all of you. This is that song.”

You could feel the emotion ripple through the crowd, a few tears, a few hugs, and a lot of heart. Then came the chaos. If anyone knows anything about a Mouth Culture show, you know as soon as you hear the word ‘rage’ expect the pit to open for Cherry Red Rage. The room erupted.
After a brief exit, the band returned for an encore. A funky, reworked remix that bled seamlessly into No Shame.
It’s clear how much Mouth Culture have grown. Every tour, every song, they’re pushing boundaries and experimenting with their sound. I love seeing the growth in their creativity.
To close, Jack raised a glass and shared a heartfelt thank you to the crowd. He also thanked the support acts, the crew, and the fans before ending with the high-energy fan favourite, Ratbag.

Mouth Culture proved exactly why they’re one of the UK’s most exciting emerging bands – I’m telling you, I mean it. Thank me later. They’ve got the tunes, the chemistry, and the heart to back it up. From emotional anthems to chaotic mosh pits, this Glasgow show had it all, a celebration of connection, chaos, and culture.
This tour was their biggest yet, and it’s clear: the next one’s going to be massive. See you there.
