Autumn has finally arrived, and so has the new Halloween collection at Lush Cosmetics. This year’s release features some brand-new spooky creations, as well as some fan favourites from previous collections.
The team at Lush were kind enough to send TMP some products to test so that we could give you our honest opinions on the releases. To spice things up, we’ll rate the products out of ten and assign each its own Halloween-inspired song, culminating in the perfect autumnal playlist for a much-needed spooky self-care day.
Bewitched Bubble Bar – 8/10
This gorgeous bubble bar is a cat lover’s dream. Shaped like an iconic Halloween figure – the black cat – this blackberry-scented product fills a bath with the ideal amount of bubbles and leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturised.
The bubble bar contains cornstarch, bergamot oil, and frankincense oil, adding a warm depth to the scent and, in turn, benefiting your skin as you soak.

Toffee Apple Bath Bomb – 7/10
This toffee-apple scented bath bomb is on a stick for ease of use. It’s coated in a red wax made of Kokum and Illipe butter, which hydrates and softens the skin as it melts. This product is made with uplifting bergamot oil sourced from small-scale, multi-generational citrus farmers in Reggio Calabria, Southern Italy.
Once the body butter has melted, it acts like a typical bath bomb, fizzing and creating enchanting swirls of pink and white bubbles.

Plague Doctor Bath Bomb – 10/10
This is absolutely one of our favourites; a gorgeous bath bomb resembling a 17th-century plague doctor mask with a stunning golden shimmer on the beak.
This product turns the bath a near-black colour, with swirls of deep purple throughout. It consists of a herbal tonic made from lemon, mandarin, and rosemary. After soaking in this, the skin feels incredibly soft and hydrated.

Silvery Moon Soap – 8/10
The Silvery Moon soap bar is ideal for witchy self-care and rituals harnessing the power of the lunar phases.
Filled with fine silver glitter, this product leaves the whole body soft, refreshed, and shining. Ingredients include rose oil from Turkey, almond oil from Morocco, and a vanilla base. Together, these scents combine into dreamy bubbles reminiscent of Parma Violets.
Once lathered, simply rinse the bar and place it somewhere dry to sit until next time. We highly recommend this product!

Creature of the Night Shower Jelly – 7/10
A 2-in-1, this shower jelly contains a small golden lizard made of Glycerine facial wash. Once freed from its jelly prison, this facial gummy can be lathered and used on the face daily. Both products leave the skin sumptuously smooth, even visibly improving the appearance of uneven skin tone after a few uses.
The shower jelly is butterball scented. It’s rich and undeniably rustic. This product creates a gorgeous lather, is self-preserving, and is free from any synthetic ingredients not derived from essential oils.

Boo! Shower Gel – 9/10
If ghosts had a smell, this would be it. This charming shower gel holds notes of lemon, cedar, and almond. Together, this creates a citrus-forward scent reminiscent of both the ocean and a long-abandoned house.
As with all of Lush’s shower gels, only a small amount will do. The Boo! Gel serves to clean and awaken its user, thanks to its deliciously citrus scent and terrifyingly cute design.

Blackberry and Mint Lip Scrub – 8/10
Lush lip scrubs are always a treat, especially since they’re made with sugar and can be licked off after use. This one is no different. With a delicious blackberry and mint taste and a similarly intoxicating smell, this product is fantastic for removing dead skin and evening out texture.
This lip scrub contains jojoba oil for ultimate softness as well as a menthol kick that feels amazing after a hot shower. It’s also the perfect size for use on-the-go.
